Product introduction

RK-152 halogen-free flame retardant is an environmentally friendly polyolefin flame retardant with phosphorus and nitrogen as flame retardant elements. It is specially designed for various flame retardant polypropylene products, and can also be used for other polyolefin flame retardant products. RK-152 is composed of a ternary intumescent flame retardant system and a carbon-forming accelerator is added to form an intumescent carbon layer to play a flame retardant effect on polyolefin. Homopolymerization and copolymerization PP with RK-152 flame retardant flame retardant added, its flame retardant performance can reach UL 94-V0 (0.75mm), and pass 70oC × 168 hours immersion test (UL746C), and pass GWIT 750oC and GWFI 960oC glow wire test; and is not subject to the 2002/95/EC Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment adopted by the European Union and its Council; flame retardant articles obtained by applying this product have It has the characteristics of low density, low smoke generation and small mold corrosion. Because RK-152 has a certain hydrophobic ability, it will not be water-slip in the extrusion process of polypropylene.

Processing precautions

1. The thermal decomposition temperature of RK-152 in nitrogen is 250oC, so the processing temperature of the twin-screw can be adjusted according to the specific situation. Suggestion: On the premise of ensuring the dispersion and uniform blending of the flame retardant, the processing temperature of the twin-screw should not be too high, so as to avoid a small amount of decomposition of the flame retardant and cause slight foaming. At the same time, a certain degree of vacuum must be maintained during the twin-screw extrusion process.

2. Select resin with appropriate melt index to facilitate extrusion and injection molding.

3. Substances in the system that have an adverse effect on flame retardancy, such as phthalocyanine green and other Cl-containing toners, will lead to flame retardancy failure. When the amount of carbon black is more than 0.5%, the flame retardancy decreases. Inorganic fillers (such as glass fiber, calcium carbonate, talc, barium sulfate, etc.) will affect flame retardancy. Adding additives containing Br and Cl will cause the flame retardant to fail.

Packaging and storage

25Kg/bag; transported as general chemicals, stored in a dry and cool place, avoid direct sunlight.
